Well I just got back from the Eurowest Open House or Tag der offenen Tur. Markus and Andreas have made a number of remodeling improvements since the last time I was there. All for the better I might add! Now with their little showroom added it makes the business more complete. I hope they now have a little time to do some work now!!

As far as the last Eurotour, Mario had a rough time of it and was bounced out quickly but there is always next time. Mario flew yesterday with his sister Yao Yao to China to play in the China Open. He was lucky enough to receive an invite from the EPBF and it will be a great experience for the 15 year old.

May wife and I had a great time in Wien and we went to a few Museums in our spare time. The Natural History museum was great but the Torture or Folter Museum was Bullshit. A waste of € 6,00 in my opinion. As far as the GP went it was nice to meet new people and see the regulars. Unfortunately I didn’t make it over to the second location where they were playing but I did spend 5 or 6 hours at Siebenbrunnengasse and see the action there.

A couple more days and the Eurotour will start and I’m anxious to see how Mario He and Martin Kempter will perform. Unfortunately my wife and I are flying to Vienna for 4 days to see old friends and watch the Grand Prix of Wien. That’s a good thing though! It‘s always a good thing to spend time with good friends. I really hope Mario can put a good tournament together like he did at the Paris Eurotour. After his excellent bronze finish at the European Championships for men he has received an invite to participate at the upcoming China Open and the big tournament in Qatar. If anybody wants to help sponsor Mario, you can contact me here.

I recently purchased a Gina Cue and a old Flowers Case that previously belonged to former World Champion Mike Sigel. I only had it a few days when a friend of mine made a fair offer for the combo and I accepted the offer.I still think I should have kept it. How many people in the world can say that they have the cue and case from a legend in the pocket billiard world. 5 x World Champion, 3 x U.S. Open Champion and and and! I’m probably a freaking fool for letting it go but I have been called worse. I hate to say it but I needed the money for something else!!

I haven’t written anything in a month and my excuse is I had no lust! Actually I have been having computer problems big time recently. Everybody that knows me, knows I’m not the most tech savy person around. In reality, I suck!!

Anyway the bundesliga is over and YOURS TRULY had to fill in for the first Bundesliga. I love it, never play and I love getting my ass handed to me by people that actually may practice sometimes... Well it’s over for now and I can get back to MY normal BS...

The European Championships are if in full swing and the Austrian team is performing well. The men are hanging tough and the new young guns are raising eyebrows. The billiard future is looking bright for Austria, on the European stage and hopefully the can stamp their mark on the world!!! The women are dominating their field but that is no surprise with Jasmin and Gerda!!

Well I don’t want to say I told you all so but Hey for He!!! Super Mario makes into the final of the Eurotour taking out some heavyweights on the way. The quaterfinal against Souquet is a DVD I’m going to have to buy for my own archives. The first Austrian to make into a Eurotour final at 15 years old is one for the record books and his future is looking bright. Although school is more important in the long run we’ll see what pool holds in store for Mario. Jürgen and Maxi also held their own and I’m confident that their future is also bright!

Well I’m surprised at the last 2nd bundesliga round. PPC-Rankweil actually won both matches on the weekend and moved out of the keller. The next liga weekend will be an important match against Inzing in
Tirol to see who wants to stay in the bundesliga more. Unfortunately I seems it may be likely, that I have to come off the reserve list and actually have to play. Scheisse!!!!
The Eurotour in Paris is starting today and a few of the young guns from Austria are there to strut their stuff. We will see what kind of performance they can muster but I think they will kick some ass!!!

So the Innsbruck GP is over, Congrats to the winner. I drove the 2 hours over to visit old friends in Kramsach and then on into Innsbruck to catch up with the rest. It’s amazing to me all the new faces I see at the GP’s now. At one time, I think I new 90% of the players and now I’m lucky if I know 30% anymore.

The level is getting higher and higher especially with the young guns that are coming out in force now. With Jürgen and Maxi and co. but it was also great to see an alte hase and my old friend Christian Schuster play great and slide into 3rd place!

I have been ask to substitute again for the 2 bundesliga again for the upcoming weekend matches. It was such a pleasure to get my ass whooped last time by Maxi who is the the #1 ranked Austrian at the player. It wouldn’t be so embarrassing if I actually played anymore but no excuses I have played very little over the last 5 years and that was my choice!!!

So I have been told to get off my ass and write something. I will make an effort to flap my lips in the future since I do it so well! I do have to say that I had a great time at the Xmas Open again.. Friedl has a great lokal and I respect his love for the game and I’m glad to also say, he is my friend. It sure was cold though in Kärnten

The final was not disappointing in anyway and maintained a high level with Jürgen crossing the finish line first Congrats!

Drove up to St. Johann for the Senior GP. I have to say, I wasn’t very motivated and I would have rather have driven home but I’m glad I went.

I didn’t know that the lokal owners and Theo had prepared a big dinner for all the players. If you happen to read this, the ribs and Knödel, were absolutely excellent. Hats off!!!! Finger licking good!!!

This weekend is the Innsbruck GP and I’m curious to see how many players don’t show up. Sorry, but I have been bitching for years that the most players won’t come to the West one time in the year but we have to go to the East for almost everything. It’s no wonder after some years that the most players in the West get burned out on the driving and stop......... Yeah I said it!!! I’m not saying everyone and those of you that do make the effort to come to the West, Thank You.

Either way, I’m sure that there will be some great match ups. I also hope they have fixed the tables at the Grand Prix Lokal. For those of you that don’t know, the lokal in Innsbruck is named Grand Prix and the tables need a serious table doctor!
