It is always recommend for a custom cue to have the original cue maker fix or repair the cue. That being said, sometimes that is not always an option, for example, cue maker is deceased or no longer building cues or the cost to send a package back and forth to the states is unrealistic for the repair required. There are enough cue makers in Germany that offer repair work, for example www.hartmanncue.de
